Having seen the list of presenters and presentations at the Mahara UK 2012 conference I am more disappointed in not being able to attend, but one cannot be everywhere.
The conference is being held in the Lancaster University, University Conference Centre and is organised by LUNS, TDM and Catalyst. The main conference is being held on Tuesday 3rd of July, with a technical/developer half day on the Monday 2nd.
The two keynote speakers are Job Bowen of St Peter’s College, Palmerston North, New Zealand and Dominique-Alain JAN of Gymnase de Nyon, Switzerland.
There is a good selection of presentations on all aspects of Mahara usage. Some which I picked out as ones I hope they record (if they record) are
- Implementing Mahara – a Reflection – Steve Bailey & Daniel Clark – University of Kent, UK
- Mahara for Midwives – Jacqui Hall & Gail Johnson – Royal College of Midwives, UK
- Mahara Lite – extending MaharaDroid App for journals and synching – Roger Emery and Jon Sharp – Southampton Solent University, UK
However, they all look really interesting including getting the update on Open Badges.
Don’t know how many spots they have left, but if you are free then and nearby I recommend registering.
